A big thank you goes out to Texas Governor Rick Perry for sparing the life of Kenneth Eugene Foster, the driver but NOT the triggerman in a botched burglary attempt that sadly resulted in one person's death, literally hours before he was sentenced to die.
Executing Foster would have set a new precedent in this state/country for the consequences of being *an accomplice* to a crime (deadly or otherwise) when not being the actual perpetrator (e.g. - What next? Arresting people for knowing a criminal??? Okay, a bit fantastical, but you see my point...).
BTW, I promise not to get too 'political' in my 'Thankfuls' but this
warrants a special look-see from all of us in my humble opinion (oh, but, do have a nice day, too, Mr. Gonzales)...
Than~x
